What Are the Most Successful Shopify Stores? 💪

Did you know that the three biggest industries on Shopify Plus are; retail (17%), apparel (11%) and computer software (6%)?

As Shopify and Shopify Plus hold an increasing amount of global ecommerce platform market share, brands from a wide range of industries are choosing to walk hand in hand with the platform as their business models grow.

Over time, the news of Shopify’s power has attracted many big-hitting brands and in 2021, more and more stores are making the migration move towards Shopify.

So, without further ado, let’s take a look at 30 of the most successful Shopify stores on the platform:

N0.1: Jigsaw

This high-street giant is just one of many premium fashion brands that have joined the ever-growing list of businesses that have made the move to Shopify Plus. Originally, Jigsaw came from Aptos retail, but now the brand has become one of the biggest Shopify store merchants thriving on the platform.

N0.2: Hasbro

Who hasn’t heard of Hasbro? The world-famous toy retailer has chosen Shopify Plus to power its DTC channel through the new ecommerce space - Hasbro Pulse and we have to say, Hasbro’s fans seem just as excited about the innovative website as they are about their toys.

The new website can handle traffic spikes from conferences like Comic-Con with ease and did we mention that it is fully integrated into an enterprise ERP stack? Additionally, the Hasbro store now boasts a crowdfunding app and custom pre-order functionality. So, if a fan can dream it, Hasbro can make it, all with the help of Shopify's innovation.

N0.3: SkinnyDip

Launched back in 2011 by Lewis Blitz and brothers James and Richard Gold, Skinnydip London has grown into one of the most successful Shopify stores on the web. Currently, SkinnyDip has over 100 concessions, but sales truly rocketed for the company when the brand’s stock became available in leading global retailers such as; Selfridges, Nordstorm, ASOS and Topshop.

N0.4: Pure Electric

Pure Electric are at the forefront of an exploding market and what’s more, they're now enjoying a foundation on Shopify Plus that’s ready to scale.

As word would have it, Pure Electric’s online website was redesigned and rebuilt. If you’ve already checked out their website, you may have noticed the creation of the slick product comparison tool. This is a super handy feature that assists consumers on the buying journey.

N0.5: Netflix

Netflix needs no introductions, but surprisingly, they are a recent entry into the ecommerce space. The Nextflix shop can be found on Shopify Plus, which is where the entertainment platform that we have all come to know and love sells limited-edition merchandise centred around popular shows available to watch on the platform.

If you’ve checked out our recent articles regarding Shopify themes, you may have noticed that we’ve talked quite a bit about Online Store 2.0. For those of you who know what we’re talking about, you’ll be excited to hear that Netflix’s ecommerce store is an example of an OS 2.0 Shopify theme in action.

N0.6: Gymshark

With 3 million highly engaged social media followers and customers in 131 countries, Gymshark is a fitness apparel and accessories brand, manufacturer and online retailer based in the United Kingdom. We wouldn’t say that this is the biggest Shopify store on the platform, but it is most definitely one of the biggest and we’d be surprised if you haven’t heard of these guys. They’re everywhere!

N0.7: Fitbit

Ah, Fitbit, the home of fitness tracking. Did you know that Fitbit pioneered the fitness-tracker market in 2007? Consumers quickly became aware of the number of steps they took per day making the individual’s fitness level easier to track and maintain.

With such a unique idea, it’s no wonder how this enterprise quickly became a market leader within the industry, but now the brand has moved over to Shopify Plus, bringing the glory to Shopify's platform.

So, it’s not just about new brands choosing to climb Shopify’s ladder of success, the platform plays host to brands that have already made it, but now they’re in an even better position to capture the growing demand of the market they're in.

N0.8: The Economist

The Economist offers authoritative insight and opinions on international; news, politics, business, finance, science and technology for its readers. However, the ecommerce store also stocks a range of prints and audiobooks, alongside a range of office stationery and diaries for its readers.

N0.9: BBC

The public service broadcaster’s branded merch store pulled the plug on M1 to switch over to the world’s smoothest, most flexible platform known as Shopify Plus. Without a doubt, this has to be the biggest Shopify store or at least very nearly one of the largest stores on the platform.

N0.10: Clarks

As we’re sure you all know, Clarks was established many moons ago and their humble beginnings in 1820’s Somerset has taken them from countryside creation to an iconic house name that is now renowned worldwide.

N0.11: Heinz

Beans means Heinz. Well for Heinz, Shopify means success. Over the past 150 years, Heinz has become one of the biggest food giants that there's ever been and it must be quite an honour for Shopify Plus to power a direct-to-consumer website for the company.
