Xero Partners with Shopify 🤝
In 2021, ecommerce has become an essential strategy for businesses all over the world to thrive and grow so considering this, perhaps it is not surprising that an increasing number of consumers are now looking for apps to support their ecommerce needs.
Shopify took the top spot as the “most searched for application” on the Xero App Store between April and November of this year and we’re excited to share that the two solutions are now Shopify and Xero partners.
The Xero Application
The Xero app was built in-house and is one of the latest Shopify integrations to hit the leading ecommerce platform. It has also been announced that both companies will offer 24/7 developer support to merchants who download the application via the Xero App Store or the Shopify App Store.
So, what does this mean for Xero’s small business customers and advisors? Well, with the solution’s fast and accurate data, Xero can reveal how much revenue and profit is generated, whilst automatically presenting Shopify sales alongside a breakdown of daily costs.
Additionally, the two Xero partners have made Shopify reconciliation possible in just a few clicks and what's more, is that manual data entry is no longer required with this exciting integration
We here at Karmoon believe that Shopify integrations such as this one by Xero have been designed to help merchants save time on admin tasks by automatically sending Shopify sales transactions to Xero for easy reconciliation against bank data.
Additionally, users of the Xero app will also be able to track their cash flow with ease. Shopify integrations such as this make it effortless for merchants to access an overview of their business’ performance in real-time and with this specific app, such information can be viewed from within the Xero dashboard.
Furthermore, users will also be able to view long and short term cash flow forecasts while utilising up-to-date insights to make fast and well-informed decisions that will benefit the future of the business.

Rumour has it that this is just the start of Xero’s commitment to supporting consumers and merchants with their ecommerce needs.
Have you heard that the integration has been named in the Shopify Plus Certified App Program (PCAP)? The PCAP is a select group of partners who support the advanced needs of Shopify’s global merchants and Xero is amongst them.
Downloading The Xero Application
As mentioned above, the Xero partners have teamed up to offer small businesses the opportunity to download the application via the Xero App Store and the Shopify App Store, alongside the other solutions which will help customers to integrate Shopify into their workflows.
Note:Consumers using existing Xero-Shopify integrations will be unaffected.
So, what are your thoughts on this integration by Xero and Shopify? Are you already using the software to manage your business’ finances in real-time? Reach out and let us know.
