The Shopify Email Marketing Tool 📧
The goal for Shopify is to make entrepreneurship more accessible for merchants to utilise whilst favouring an approachable method of marketing.
So, for today’s article, we thought we’d shed some light on one of the most essential tools on the platform that we believe all businesses on Shopify should be using.
Shopify Email marketing is a tool that has been designed with ecommerce businesses in mind. Its sole purpose is to allow online merchants to build deep and meaningful relationships with their customers in an increasingly crowded online landscape.
Introducing Shopify Email Marketing
In 2018, Shopify tapped into the world of digital marketing and made the aspect of reaching out and communicating with customers a whole lot easier, thanks to the consolidated tools that can be found in one place.
When a business sends their customers an email with Shopify, any team can rest assured knowing that an expert in running and managing campaigns will not be required to do so.
Why? Well, merchants can be left to build their business and leave the details of mail communications in the hands of Shopify Email marketing.
The Role of Shopify Email Marketing 📢
In 2019, sending customers an email with Shopify became available to select merchants, as the platform trialled the feature, however, the application tool was scheduled for a wider release in the early months of 2020.
Even though the marketing tool has been available for some time, we here at Karmoon feel as though the tool deserves further coverage for its ability to; create, run and track email campaigns natively inside of Shopify Marketing itself.
Additionally, Shopify Email allows merchants on the platform to take advantage of highly customisable; templates, existing brand assets and product content that derive from individual stores. So, essentially, creating an email marketing campaign couldn’t be easier.
Shopify businesses also can send emails to their audience reach with just a domain name - so, virtually no setup is required here.
However, that’s not all that this tool can offer, as the application includes campaign analytics which will prove themselves necessary when measuring the success of email open and click-through rates, not to mention the number of products that have been added to the cart and then purchased by the store's customers.
The Creation of Shopify Email Marketing
Built utilising the platform’s marketing app extensions that launched back in 2018, Shopify Email is one of many marketing apps that is now available on Shopify in 2021.
For those of you who haven’t heard, the ecommerce solution partnered with the largest advertising platforms on the web to ensure that its users could run ads on the likes of; Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Snapchat.
By opening up Shopify’s APIs, third-party marketing apps such as; Seguno, Omnisend and SMSBump have also been integrated so that users can run a variety of marketing campaigns for their business with ease.
As the platform continues to support all merchants on their entrepreneurial journies, it is Shopify’s mission to provide ecommerce stores with a powerful back-office so that businesses can focus on building lasting relationships with their customers and growing their business, without any technical or marketing expertise necessary.
Needless to say, sending customers an email with Shopify equates to; extended marketing capabilities, additional workflows and deeper customisation features for over one million merchants around the world.
